About Rich Tolvstad
Rich earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University. Prior to attending OSU, he completed a carpentry apprenticeship and worked as a Journeyman Carpenter where he was exposed to all stages of new and remodel construction at the field level. Over the last 30 years Rich has built a variety of projects that have varied in size from several thousand to nearly seven million dollars and have included a diverse spectrum of historic renovations, seismic upgrades, remodels, tilt-ups, parking structures, medical facilities, ski-lift buildings, loft apartments, low-income housing, major residential remodel, retail buildings and tenant improvements.
Rich was appointed by the Governor to serve on the nine member, State of Oregon, Construction Contractors Board. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Oregon-Columbia chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) for ten years, and is a member of the Advisory Board to the Oregon State University Construction Engineering Management Program. In 1998, Rich was inducted into the Oregon State College of Engineering, Council of Outstanding Early Career Engineers, in its inaugural year.
